About MerryTick

MerryTick is a free holiday countdown site. There is no sign-up and no account. It counts down to Christmas, Christmas Eve, Thanksgiving and Halloween, with a kids “sleeps” view, fullscreen mode for classrooms and TVs, light and dark themes and optional snow.

How the countdowns work

Every countdown runs in your browser. It uses your device’s clock and time zone to count to midnight at the start of the holiday where you are. Dates are worked out from calendar rules, such as “December 25” or “the fourth Thursday of November”, rather than typed in by hand.
